Dr. Dan Skow, D.V.M., will share the secrets of successful foliars.
Intensive Plot:
We will return to Wendell Owens' farm to view a corn plot exhibiting over 20 different non-GMO varieties. This plot will compare different seed treatments in addition to observing plant characteristics and yield potential. Once harvested, plot data will be reviewed to see who won the 2011 yield battle.

3rd Crop Producer Meeting on ‘Local Foods’

Rural Advantage and University of Minnesota Extension will be hosting the 7th annual 3rd Crop Producer Meetings in February and March. The topic of ‘Local Foods’ will kick off the 2011 Third Crop Producer Meetings on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fairmont, Minnesota. The day will include information on local foods production and market opportunities.
There is no cost to attend Rural Advantage’s 2011 Third Crop Producer Meetings. Pre-registration is not necessary. For those interested in attending from the metro area, carpooling is available from the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus.
